The Authentic Dabu Process
Dabu is a traditional mud-resist technique that dates back centuries. Master artisans press hand-carved wooden blocks dipped in a natural clay paste onto the fabric. Once dried, the fabric is dyed, and the mud is washed away to reveal the protected pattern underneath. The subtle variations, occasional dye veining, and unique ink touches are the true hallmarks of this authentic craft.
